Gordie started sculpting at the age of eighteen. Just out of high school, he was trained by John Bergasse, a well known sculpter in the area. Gordie worked for John several years, learning different techniques of the craft. Copper is heated to a certain temperature and then dipped in water to capture the colors. Copper is also pliable, pieces are molded by hand. All pieces are reinforced with steel rod and sprayed with clear enamel. Gordie lives in Whitmore Lake, MI with his family where he makes his sculptures in his studio. Custom orders? Have an idea? No problem! Call Gordie at 734.718.5080 or use our Contact Us page.
